Currently there are nearly 3 million temporary employees called “Haken” in Japan. They often receive unequal treatment in the workplace. Haruko Omake is a temporary employee and called “super haken” because she possesses outstanding skills and various qualifications and does better jobs than permanent employees do. With the motto, “work as much as wage”, she handles many problems brilliantly. Although permanent employees do not think much of her because of their pride at first, they are gradually attracted to her. This drama depicts the meaning of work and company with a light touch and has received empathy from a wide rage of people. It won a Galaxy Award and many others.

The Great Family

This is a grand project produced for TBS' 55th anniversary of starting broadcasting. Starred by Takuya Kimura, this drama depicts conflict between father Daisuke and son Teppei, of the influential Manpyo family during reorganization of the financial industry and bank consolidation under economic reform in the late 60s. At this time, the bad prevails over the good and the small eats the big... However, Teppei and other characters live strongly, being honest with themselves.

The Byakkotai

During the turbulent times at the end of the samurai period, the Aizu domain fights against the West Squad centered around the Satsuma and the Choshu domains in order to defend the Tokugawa Shogunate and the bushido (the way of the samurai) despite of their disadvantageous situation. The Byakkotai (White Tiger Corps) was composed of the young, 16 to 17 year old boys of the Aizu samurai fights at the cost of their lives for their lord, the Aizu, their parents and their loved ones. This drama is a story about Mineji Sakai, a survivor of the Byakkotai, who were not involved in the tragedy of the Byakkotai and also about the Byakkotai boys’ mothers.
