She never thought she would be in love again. A career woman in her forties falls in love with a married man, 17-years younger. The love story portrays a bold and perilous adult romance. Rui Nakamura (Kyoka Suzuki) is a successful editor at a publishing company, who produces best selling books one after another with her uncompromising work ethic. She comes across Kou Suzuki (Hiroki Hasegawa), a 17-years younger high-flying Financial Services Agency official at a wine tasting. She becomes interested in him as he enthusiastically talks about restructuring the Japanese financial market, and she starts working to publish his book. As Rui predicted, Kou becomes the darling of the times. Kou is married to Marie (Kyoko Fukada), the daughter of a wealthy family, but she is naive and only interested in having a baby. As boredom has crept into their married life, Kou becomes attracted to Rui, but Rui is unsure. She has sealed off any romance after her marriage failed, and finds it difficult to overcome the barrier as a second virgin. But when they meet in Singapore by chance, they finally get together, and their passion for each other flares up. However, their happiness does not last long as Marie learns of their relationship and puts up a fierce counterattack. Rui and Kou become pulled into a vortex of fate that cannot be resisted.

Heita Fukai (Takeru Sato) is a third-year high school student. One day he finds a girl (Atsuko Maeda) sleeping in an empty science prep room. When Heita touches her, the girl suddenly wakes up.
In fact, she is the girl whom the headmaster, Michiro Kishimoto (Takehiko Ono), came across the night before in a trash can downtown. The headmaster, being heavily drunk, brought the girl home. Upon realizing that she was not breathing the following morning, he asked Heita's homeroom teacher, Otozure Ogawa (Yuji Tanaka) to help him hide her. Although the girl looks every inch a human, Kuriko Yanagi (Hiroko Yakushimaru), an engineering professor, notices that the girl is actually a robot. There must be a secret. Fearing a scandal, Kishimoto makes a proposal. "This is our secret, just among the four of us..." Heita ends up looking after the robot at school. Meanwhile, he witnesses a student sneaking into the office and hacking at the headmaster’s chair with a knife....

It has been two years since the neurosurgeon Jin Minakata time slipped 150 years to the Edo period.
Ryoma Sakamoto asks Jin to examine Shouzan Sakuma, who is in a critical state after being attacked by the Shinsengumi. At first, Jin is reluctant because curing Shouzan who is an important historical figure, would change the course of history, but in the end he agrees. After regaining consciousness, Shouzan tells Jin that he too has time slipped before. He tells Jin to continue saving people even if it means changing the course of history. Soon after, the entire town is set on fire, and many people including Shouzan do not make it.
With the help of Saki Tachibana and the other members of the Jinyudo, Jin continues to save people’s lives including the life of historical figure, Takamori Saigo. After a strange experience with a little girl named Ohatsu who Jin thinks is his ancestor, he decides to take on the challenge of amending history. He and members of Jinyudo find a way of turning penicillin into powder. He also helps Nokaze, a woman believed to be his present-day girlfriend’s ancestor, give birth. Worried about Ryoma who will be killed in the “Ryoma Sakamoto Assassination” after the Meiji Restoration, Jin travels to Kyoto to save him.
Will Jin be able to save Ryoma? Will Jin ever return to the present? Why did he time slip in the first place?
All the mystery will be solved in this series.

One day, Fujimoto(Mirai Moriyama), a 29 year old temp worker who has never had any luck with women suddenly receives a surge of calls and emails all at once from beautiful women connected to his past. That’s right, he’s finally hit popularity, something which comes only three times in a lifetime for everyone! Feeling elated, Fujimoto decides to meet them（4 different types of women!） one after the other…or so the story goes.

He finds himself confused about how to deal with this new experience of having a “MOTEKI" (a period when one is very popular and attractive to others). 　

It all started in 2010 during the production of serial drama "Mother," when screenwriter Yuji Sakamoto began scheming: Can we create a realistic drama through the eyes of children by casting Mana Ashida as the main character? With her, we can anticipate a new drama we have never experienced before.
Mr. Sakamoto spins out a story about five children suddenly disappearing from their preschool located in the city center. The children, having some purpose of their own, head towards their destination without any notice to the adults. The children promise each other that they would never cry no matter what.
The drama portrays the fresh sensitivity of children in this complicated modern society with tenderness and vigor. The story contains an important theme: Should we re-examine the current social system and values that are created solely for the benefit of adults? Didn’t we also see the world just like these children in our childhood? The drama poses these issues to the viewers.
The “Mother” team reassembled to create this powerful drama.

An incident occurs at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate in a small clan of Akizuki in Kyushu. Watari Usui, a consul who advocates opening up and modernizing the country, and his wife, Sei have been brutally murdered by someone from an anti-foreigner faction. Watari's son, Rokuro (Tatsuya Fujiwara), vows revenge by his parents’ bodies, but the time changes to the Meiji period when revenge killings are banned by the government as it aims to build a law-abiding country. As a result, the revenge killing, which has been one of the virtues of the samurai for 700 years, is reduced to a mere murder. Yet Rokuro continues with his training under the guidance of a master swordsman, Tesshu Yamaoka (Kinya Kitaohji), and with the support of Naka (Nao Matsushita), a maid at the Usui's residence, he finally kills Naohisa Ichinose (Yukiyoshi Ozawa) to avenge his father after thirteen years' trials and tribulations. Public opinion divides over whether this is a "revenge of honor" or a "murder crime to be condemned". Moreover, the murdered Ichinose was a judge. As the investigation continues, the judge presiding over the case, Masatsugu Nakae), becomes torn between the "ideal of law" and "heart of the warrior". What would be the verdict for Rokuro, and what is it that Rokuro sees in his last moment?

No matter how deep the despair, people help each other to rebuild their strength. A young man’s beloved family is violently taken away. This helpless man creates a miracle when he fights against the powerful barriers of the Justice system. Together with a solitary journalist they reveal a heart-felt human drama.

This is a fictional drama based on journalist Ryusho Kadota’s novel “His Fight Against Despair Hiroshi Motomura’s 3300 days”. Kadota wrote the novel while covering the brutal murder of a mother & child in Hikari-shi in 1999, who were senselessly killed by an 18 year-old boy. The surviving husband/father is tormented by his deep regret for failing to protect his family. The Justice system and juvenile law go easy on the criminals but often neglect the victims’ families. Compelled by this disconnect, the grieving man and a journalist fearlessly take on the bureaucracy. The story shows their courage and their life changing true friendship and how his eternal love for his family succeeds in bringing changes to the Justice system.

Directed by the critically acclaimed Kan Ishibashi featuring talented Yosuke Eguchi, this masterpiece celebrates humanity making an impact on the modern Japanese society.

Our aim of created this award was to help successful export of Japanese drama series by having Asian buyers choose the winner themselves. While the “Tokyo Drama Award” is chosen by the exporting side with the concept “Japanese dramas we (the exporters) want to show to the world,” the “Asia Award” will be given to series “that travel to markets outside Japan,” directly reflecting the opinions of those who have actually acquired before. With the “Asia Award,” we hope to give added international appeal and help winners to be exported successfully. We will also continue giving spotlight to excellent world-standard productions through the established “Tokyo Drama Award.”

A father and daughter live on a housing estate in Omuta city in Fukuoka Prefecture, which once prospered as a mining town. The daughter, Nozomi Takemoto, is a 16-year old school truant. On the last day of summer vacation, Nozomi cycles out to the outskirts of the town as if to shake off her gloomy feelings before the start of school. Then she catches sight of an enormous ruin of a coal mining tower, a symbol of the city’s past, for the first time and becomes captivated by it. Nozomi starts wandering in town looking for traces of the mines. Through meeting with a newspaper reporter, who covers stories about towns after mine closures, and discovery of forgotten materials at the library, Nozomi becomes more absorbed into the history of the town. In the meantime, her quiet and determined father, Shoichi, gets laid off by the auto repair factory due to harsh economic conditions. He pretends to go to work every morning and goes instead to a job center, but it is not easy to find another job. Nozomi's grandparents live in the same town, but they have fallen out of touch with Shoichi. Her grandfather, Katsuo, also used to be a coal miner, but he now suffers from the after effects of CO2 gas poisoning after an explosion in the mine. He has been cheerfully supported by his wife, Kinuko. However, unknown to Nozomi, there has been discord between Katsuo and Shoichi. Nozomi's journey of discovering the unknown part of her town gradually overlaps with the true story of her family.

Okinawa was turned into a fierce battlefield during World War II, which then led to a serious shortage of doctors after the war, and so military medics and doctors’ assistants provided medical care as substitute doctors. These people, called the "Medical Service Men", were unlicensed doctors and this drama is highlighting them who have barely attracted media attention until now. The story is modeled on Zensho Miyazato's life of hardship for over 60 years (as Yoshiaki Miyamae in the drama). He was called the "Last Medical Service Man", and the drama portrays the bond between a doctor and a patient, which is the principal of medical care.
In 1959, Yoshiaki was working as a "Medical Service Man" in Okinawa under U.S. rule after the war with his wife, Hana’s support. He was often unable to charge for treatment because people were poor however he helps as many lives as he could, but at the same time he agonized about not being a proper doctor. One day, a lady came to his clinic. She was distressed about her pregnancy whether her baby is her husband’s or American soldier who raped her few weeks ago. Yoshiaki expected her to give a birth however; half American and half Japanese baby was born. Her husband blamed her and run away, while she killed herself, leaving her child behind. Yoshiaki could not stop blaming himself and decided to quit his job. However, Hana firmly told him that there were treatments only he could give. Many villagers also told him not to give up. Supported by the villagers, Yoshiaki continued practicing in Okinawa as the "last Medical Service Man” until he retired in 2008.

As soon as the broadcast started in China, this epic TV serial, “Three Kingdoms”, dominated the rating rankings. This is a huge piece which took four years just to complete the screenplay, then a further two years for filming and editing. The total production cost is the highest for a historical drama in China, at a staggering 2.5 billion yen. With more than 150,000 extras, and special effects by staff from "The Lord of the Rings", historic and epic battles such as "Battle of Red Cliff" and "Battle of Guandu" are depicted in extraordinary images. It is also an ideological drama that echoes modern politics, as it preaches the importance of magnanimity, faithfulness and honor, and winning people’s hearts. The drama comprises 95 episodes, based on a novel “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” with newly interpreted screenplay which includes an objective viewpoint according to historical evidence. Starting with Cao Cao's assassination attempt of Dong Zhuo, the following 80 years, until the Sima family establishes the Jin dynasty, is intensely portrayed. Directed by Gao Xixi of “The Bund”, who has won many awards for his dramas since his debut in 1994. He directed all 95 episodes by himself. Music is by Zhao Jiping of “Yellow Land”, “Red Sorghum” and “Farewell To My Concubine”.Cao Cao is played by Chen Jianbin of ”24 City” and “Confucious”. Zhuge Liang is played by Lu Yi of “Jasmine Women” and “Seven Swords”. Sima Yi is played by Ni Dahong of “Curse of the Golden Flower”. Guan Yu is played by Yu Rongguang of “The Storm Riders” and “The Karate Kid”, and Lu Bu is played by Peter Ho of “T.R.Y.” and “Shanghai Typhoon”, bringing together powerhouse performers.

Go Hye Mi (Bae Suzy) is a child genius who has never been less than No. 1 in anything she has done, such as studying, singing and playing the piano. Her dream has been to become a classical soprano singer, but her father's business failed and she has been chased by debt collectors since then. Strongly urged by the debt collectors to become a pop singer so that she can repay the debt, Hye Mi auditions for Kirin Art high School with some friends, but fails the audition. In the meantime, Oh Hyuk, rated the worst teacher at Kirin, is faced with dismissal but the President, Jung Ha Myung (Bae Yong Joon), saves him in return for bringing three special acceptance students before the entrance ceremony.
As a result of Oh Hyuk's effort, three special acceptance students join the school. One of them is Hye Mi, who aims to make a debut in order to repay the debt. Another is a country boy, Sam Dong, wanting to become a singer to be noticed by Hye Mi, with whom he has fallen in love. Then there is Gook who is absorbed in dancing in the hope that it will heal the scar of having been raised without love of his parents.
Fierce competition for survival is about to start amongst the youngsters, each of whom has their own dream.

“Major Prajak Mahasak” is a handsome young cavalry officer known for his horse-whispering capabilities.“Wanida Wongwiboon” is a naughty young woman.

Prajak’s friend, “Montree”, immediately falls for Wainida the first time he sees her when he meets Dao, Wanida’s father, at a sports club. Dao is a powerful creditor to many cavalry officers and he tries to find a good suitor for his beloved daughter. Dao is eyeing “Prajuab Mahasak” who is the brother of Prajak. Prajuab is told to marry Wanida in order to repay the debt that he owes to Dao. Prajuab refuses to do so, as he wishes to marry his girlfriend, “Pranee”. The situation upsets “Nom” who is Prajak and Prajuab’s mother. Dao tells Nom that if Prajuab does not marry his daughter, Prajak will have to do so instead in order to repay the debt or he will sue the Mahasak family ? an act that will surely tarnish the family’s good reputation. Prajak refuses the marriage proposal at first, as he loves his girlfriend dearly. However, Prajak feels obliged to salvage his family’s reputation so he accepts the offer on condition that he gets a divorce as soon as his brother is able to find the money to repay the debt.

After marriage, both Prajak and Wadina feel awkward to live together. Wanida has to be strong and confront with his mother and his girlfriend who dislikes her and keeps insulting her. One day, Wanida learns about the past of Lady Montha, her grandmother. She is told that Lady Montha was set up that she committed adultery and was chased out of Mahasak family. Therefore, Wanida intends to find out the truth about this to prove that her grandmother was innocent.
"Wanida" is a story telling about one woman’s patience, goodness and her great love.
